We check public IPv4 addresses behind every mail server and the website, up to 20 different addresses; nameserver reputation is a separate audit-only check. These are possible sending addresses, not proof that you send from all of them. Spamhaus documents 127.255.255.x as query errors, including refusal of public resolvers, not evidence of spam or a listing (Spamhaus, “Using our public mirrors? Check your return codes now”, return-code sections). If a list refuses our query, its result is unknown: no delisting or DNS change is justified by that refusal.
